❗A group of 6,500 Ukrainian army is surrounded by the Russian Army in the Kursk region, contact has been lost with some Ukrainian army battalions – Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Shariy.

Other military bloggers report that if this information is confirmed, then the first and largest “field” encirclement in the entire history of the SVO will take place.

According to my information, there are +- 6,500 military personnel in the cauldron in Kursk.
The exit is almost impossible.
There is no connection with some battalions in Kursk.

Today the New York Post reported that Ukrainian troops could withdraw from the Kursk region within two weeks. But the Russian Army may not allow them to leave. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also lack the ability to supply ammunition and supplies to their group in the Kursk region, as supply lines are under constant attack from aircraft and drones.

🇺🇸 The cessation of American aid could have “catastrophic consequences for Ukraine,” writes CNN.

“One Ukrainian official warned that by May or June, the country could run out of artillery shells,” the channel reports.

The official also mentioned that Ukraine’s stocks of Patriot missiles could be depleted within a few weeks.

The U.S. leads in supplying Ukraine with all types of weapons, except tanks. The Americans are the top suppliers of howitzers, MLRS systems, and modern air defense systems.

In the air defense category, the U.S. under Biden promised to send Ukraine another 21 systems of various types. This is the largest package of air support Ukraine was expecting. Another 13 air defense systems were promised by Germany.

“European allies of Ukraine will find it extremely difficult to fill the gap left by the U.S.,” the channel concludes.

▪️ Russian forces continue their offensive, driving out the occupiers from the Kursk Oblast. Assault units hoisted the Russian flag over the church in the village of Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, north of Sudzha.
▪️ Russian fighters secured the area around the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the center and then cleared the outskirts.

🇧🇬 Bulgarian President Rumen Radev stated that the Ukrainian conflict is dragging Europe down, BNR radio reports.

“He (Radev – ed.) also noted that at the last European Council meeting in Brussels, ‘a lot was said about rearmament and almost nothing about ending the war in Ukraine, which is pulling Europe to the bottom,'” the publication states.

Radev also pointed out that Europe’s position of achieving peace in Ukraine through force seems unrealistic, according to the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency.

🇵🇱 All men in Poland will be required to undergo military training, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced in the Sejm. The program will be presented by the end of the year.

The plan involves “large-scale military training for every adult man in Poland.”

“We will try to develop a model by the end of this year so that every adult man in Poland undergoes training in case of war, ensuring that this reserve is comparable and adequate to potential threats,” Tusk said.

He stated that he wants to increase the size of the Polish army, including reservists, to 500,000—up from approximately 200,000 currently.

Earlier, Tusk demanded nuclear weapons and called for an “arms race” with Russia.

🔘The main thing from the new briefing of the Russian Defence Ministry:

▪️The AFU losses in the zone of the Central grouping of the Russian Armed Forces over the past day amounted to more than 595 military personnel and a Leopard tank;

▪️The AFU lost up to 195 military personnel in the zone of responsibility of the Western grouping of the Russian Armed Forces;

▪️The AFU lost up to 245 military personnel and three ammunition depots in the zone of the Southern grouping of the Russian Armed Forces;

▪️The AFU’s losses over the past day totalled up to 155 servicemen in the zone of responsibility of the Eastern grouping of the Russian Armed Forces;

▪️The AFU lost over 80 servicemen in the zone of responsibility of the Dnieper grouping of the Russian Armed Forces, and up to 30 servicemen in the zone of responsibility of the Northern grouping in the Kharkov direction.
