🇨🇦🇺🇸 CANADIAN MP TO CANADIANS: DON’T VISIT THE U.S. — ARBITRARY DETENTION AWAITS

MP Charlie Angus:

“I am here today to say to Canadians to avoid travel to the United States, if at all possible, and to call our government to stand up for our Canadian citizens who are being denied their rights by arbitrary detention in the United States today.

Canada must stand up for our citizens and for the rule of law.”

🇨🇦🇺🇸 QUEBEC TOWN BLASTS U.S. OVER LIBRARY LOCKOUT

Stanstead, Quebec is calling out U.S. authorities for cutting off Canadian access to the Haskell Free Library, which straddles the border with Derby Line, Vermont, 65 miles southeast of Montreal.

Canadians used to cross a short sidewalk into the U.S. entrance with ID.

Now? Blocked.

Stanstead says the closure “weakens the spirit of cross-border collaboration” and hurts families who relied on the space to meet.

Sen. Peter Welch says, “Vermont loves Canada.”

No response yet from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
